I Now Know I Am Beautiful No Matter How I Look
Sinead’s boudoir session at our London studio was not too long after the last lockdown in 2021. It was a time when we still had to be careful while working with others. Indeed, it was an interesting period to have a transformational photoshoot – both for our clients and ourselves.
And we are grateful to all the clients who came through our doors to invest in themselves by having a luxury boudoir session.
Sinead came to the studio to celebrate her milestone birthday as well as to challenge the beauty standards that had made her feel less than because of her weight. It goes without saying that this is why we do what we do for women of all sizes and ages – to help them FEEL great about themselves, no matter what.
When asked about her experience Sinead had a lot to say.
Have you ever done a boudoir photoshoot?
No. And although I have done photoshoots before, the experience with Lize was so different. It was very personable and relaxed. Everything is centered around you and made for you to feel comfortable. A lot of time, dedication, and attention to detail was taken by both Lize and her team, and I’m extremely grateful for that.
Why did you want to have this boudoir experience?
I won a competition Lize was running, but I was also turning 30, and starting a new career. I had found confidence in myself for the first time in my life, so I wanted to show that confidence in a boudoir shoot.
What did this shoot do for your self-confidence, self-esteem, and self-image?
A lot. I have always been told I’m fat or I need to lose weight. But I kept seeing images of plus-size models in lingerie looking so beautiful. I knew I could look as beautiful as them, but I didn’t realise just how attractive I looked until the makeup and the pictures were done. I now know I am beautiful no matter how I look, and I must thank Lize and Renée (the makeup artist) for allowing me to find that confidence.
What was your favourite part of the session? And would you change anything?
I wouldn’t change a thing! I liked being pampered and being the only person who mattered, especially when you spend all your time thinking of other people. My favourite part was chatting with Renée and Lize about everything as it really made me feel at ease, and it was just nice to have that personal touch to the photoshoot.
Was your experience what you were expecting?
It was better! As mentioned before, everything was designed to make you feel comfortable, so there weren’t a lot of people in the room. It was very intimate, and you weren’t treated like another number.
What would you say to anyone who’s feeling nervous about having a session of their own?
Nerves are normal but once you get into it you will release your inner goddess!
Is there anything extra you would like to tell us?
Just that you’d be a fool not to book a shoot with Lize!
