Have you been thinking about booking a boudoir shoot, but still not sure?
The nervous-excitement has probably started to set in and you’re thinking: What should I wear? What will the studio be like? Will it be fun?
Just breathe… we’re here to answer all of your questions and more. Whether it will be your first or fifteenth photoshoot, we want you to feel completely at ease. Because, after all, this is about you feeling great about yourself!
Here’s what you can expect from your fun and phenomenal photoshoot with Okoh’s Boudoir!
Step 1: The Vibe
Once you get to the studio you’ll probably notice something. We send out an email asking every client what their favourite music is. Well, now it’s the soundtrack to your day, and we’ll set up a playlist just for you.
Step 2: Selecting Your Lingerie
The first thing we’ll do, when you get in, is to spread out all of those beautiful outfit choices (we recommend you bring 4-5 so we have a lot to choose from. We will shoot 3). This is also when we’ll discuss what makeup look you’d like to go for, based on the outfits you brought.
Step 3: Glamour Babe
Once we’ve picked out your lingerie choices, it’s off to hair and makeup. You’ll experience the true star experience with our expert makeup artist. Don’t worry, this is a completely interactive experience! Feel free to ask questions, and to give input throughout the process.
Step 4: Model Status
Now that you’re feeling and looking fabulous, it’s off to the shoot! We’ll start with the outfit you feel the most comfortable in, and then work through the other outfits. Don’t stress about facial expressions or what poses you’ll be doing. We’ll coach you through every one of the poses, and show you your pictures along the way.
Step 5: The Result
After your shoot, we’ll take a break for about 40-50 minutes. While you relax and enjoy some fruits and prosecco, we’ll get your photos ready for viewing.
You’ll get to choose from 80 – 100 of your best photos from the session. We do only light retouching at this point, as the final professional retouch will be done once you’ve chosen your favourite images. You’ll then have the opportunity to choose your album, folio prints or wall art designs right then and there. If you think you might want wall art, try to bring some pictures of the space you’re considering to hang them up, to make envisioning it much easier. Closets, bathrooms, and bedrooms are just a few of the spaces you can spruce up with your new photos!
